The tone of Russian agitation among ethnic Russians is very similiar to Nazi agitation of Ethnic Germans prior to the second world war.

Ethnic Russians living in former Soviet states number approx. 20 million and include Ukraine (about 8 million), Kazakhstan (about 4.5 million), Belarus (about 1.2 million), Latvia (about 700,000), Uzbekistan (about 650,000) and Kyrgyzstan (about 600,000).

I haven't been there but there are a lot of Ukranians in the New York metro.

Why do you make these kind of posts? Why do you bash other nationals with every opportunity? How is this even relevant to his question?

You get up on the wrong side of the bed today?

Sure. I have many Ukrainian friends. I love the kielbasa with potatoes and sauerkraut.

A lot of the people fleed from the Russians at the end of WW2.

How can they know about the modern situation in Ukraine, if they left the Soviet Union over 60 years ago? I'm sure, many of them were POLIZAI. Others disliked communists and were looking for better life.
So what? We're speaking about our days' countries, not of USSR.

You are speaking nothing but nonsense. Are you ever going to qualify your earlier claims which I refuted?

They've been followed by new waves of Ukrainians. Many of the people have visited Ukraine over the last years and relatives have immigrated to theUS as well.

I haven't been to the UK. Are your subways that bad? Subways in New York ae pretty good.

The US building an anti-missle shield is not going to kill Russians.

I have, and I must say the tube is the best form of underground transportation on the planet. You'd have to be an idiot to get lost using it, even if you never have used it before.

No, I cannot say I have seen any in the UK, not that I would recognize one unless they opened their mouth and inserted their foot ;)

My Uncle drives the trains in NYC... He's seen all types. I think the Ukrainians are probably not the most disturbing group he's dealt with.

The Ukrainians in New York basically look like anyone else and wear the same clothes. They tend to assimilate very fast. The younger ones speak very good English. I don't know how I would recongize a Ukrainian on the Subway? ;)

Haha, Russia did much MORE than you know. Here is the breakdown:

    1) Russia already recognized the South Ossetia and Abkhaziya oficially

    2) They already made an agreement, including MILITARY one, which means no more "peacekeeping" reasons needed. So, if Georgia attacks again, they will have to pray for Tbilisi.

3)The agreements made will cause russian military bases to present in these 2 regions, including navy in Abkhaziya's black sea territory

The fact that US rearming Georgia is much less important than the ones above. US already armed Georgia with some $1 bln and you know what happened to this "aid" in august.

That was a 6 options plan of Sarkozi-Medvedev, that they signed in Moscow. Russia stayed there as long as they wanted :D Its got nothing to do with US)))

Do you ever read the news on this conflict?

^What did US do to this then? :D

Rice says Russia on path to isolation, irrelevance
    46 minutes ago

WASHINGTON (AP) — Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is telling Russia that its policies have put it on a path to isolation and irrelevance.

Rice is set to deliver a speech Thursday that will call Russia's invasion of Georgia last month a "critical moment for Russia and the world." She says the United States will stand up to Russia.

Excerpts of the speech were released in advance.

Rice criticizes Russia for becoming "increasingly authoritarian at home and aggressive abroad."

She also mocks Russia for its international isolation following the Georgia conflict. She says that Russia's international standing is at a post-Cold War low.

Who's afraid of a new cold war? The answer Russia
