If that sells for anything over $100k the buyer is taking a HUUUUGE risk. This market has a 0.01% chance of coming back to even half of what it was. There is too much information out there proving these systems don't work now.
Maybe - maybe not - they're buying customer data remember. The could easily turn that around if they promoted a product.
Ya true, the owner of water4gas or another one of the big sites could buy it and take all those sales while taking out a top competitor.
Not even that - think if Swerd bought it (I'm sure he can afford it). He could just pop an email off to all those people selling his ebook. If 2,500 of the 140,000 customers bite (1.78%) then he's broke even on a 100k investment. Or even if he wanted to make a new "super product". He's got an army of affiliates who he could jsut inform about a new product and BAM start getting sales.
From experience i must say that such data of customers that bought that product is not of much use - they are just customers that have been "cheated" in buying a product since it was pictured to them that it will save them money and its easy, but 99.999% of the people never build such a system and are just angry customers... Try selling something to an angry customer and you will see They will buy from anyone in the world but they wownt get anything from you again!
Just a guess but he has already milked that list for everything it is worth. If the list could generate $100k, he would do it... the site could still be valuable with type in traffic and with affiliates still promoting but I think it is a suckers buy.
God damn thats a lot of cash he made from that website. I'd agree too that his customer list would be less than responsive.
Also remember that the amount of active affiliates is probably much lower than what he describes. Just think about how much of that traffic is coming from old affiliates articles, and SEO work that is just rotting away now. I honestly don't know a single person promoting this product anymore. The very few I do know that are still in this market are promoting different products.
Regardless of what it's worth, I say congrats to the guy. The Internet really is an amazing opportunity to make money. I can't think of any other type of business model/set-up, where you can make such good money with such a low start up cost.
