    It does take time.. 8 years later and I'm JUST starting to make a decent living off of my baby-related site.. but at least It supports my family. Granted I did not implement Google until just a few months ago. Stupid move on my part, waiting so long.. but oh well.

    Just be patient and it will come. the days of get rich quick on the internet are LONG gone.. its just as hard launching an online business as offline ones. maybe even harder.

    you may want to try intergrating RSS feeds/forum/wiki so others can add fresh content to your site. and get links. lotsa links

    As of today, I've had 1120 unique visitors for April, over 70% came from type-in traffic, only 50 from msn and 25 from Google.

    I'm thinking that since the Animal movie on my homepage is pretty viral, I should concentrate more on spreading the word, press releases, articles, etc... and lay off the SEO work.

    Your thoughts??

    just to help, 2 of my sites registered since Sep 2004 are still suffering sandbox for me, 1 is starting to come out on the none-competitive terms now though.

    Press releases and articles are always a good thing, if you can get them to catch people's eyes they will link back to you in some description thus getting natural backlinks which is something google likes.

    I would suggest that Articles, Press Releases etc. always helps. You must syndicate your website content in variou forms that would help you 1. Getting a backlink 2. Poplarizing your site 3. Increase in qualified traffic
