The following article explains that adveristing room is running out. (Temporarily obviously). This could spike prices in things such as AdWords drastically, but benefit AdSense type users. http://www.nytimes.com/2004/07/19/technology/19ecom.html
Interesting article. BTW, I'm a 56yo CFO female with an avg. income under 20k in the aerospace industry living in Maine. These registrations are so stupid. Only a fool would give their true demographic info.
In the end this, as I have always thought, will all end up with the large nationals able to pay because of size and scale of sale of product/service [even for regional ads] and high value products or services such as houses, Jaguar Cars whether new or second hand pointing at the demographic profile of ABC1, and, actually, that is where the Internet sits today. So if your product does not fit into that start...... changing!!
I have been bidding against people on overture who aren't getting orders and think if they bid higher they will. It is almost funny but it drives prices high during the time noone is buying a given product. I sometimes wait til a company gives up and drops their bid altogether.
We have noticed a rapid escallation in recent months in the price of standard technical keywords like "configurator" or "Product Information Management" - there are a number of companies all trying to show up against these key words, and only limited traffic and information sources where adds can be placed.
