running mysql event engine type make a difference?

    I am running lamp 6.4 centos. What I found out is mysql events engine type is myisam and if I set my table to innodb then it will not run. If I set it back to myisam then all works fine.. I thought it didn't matter? Anyone can shed some light on this? Maybe I am missing something else here.
