Running duplicate accounts on DP

Why some people try to run duplicate accounts on Digital Point forum?

ie : The Emirates Gallastico banned / http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=709964

This is a bad news and I just come to know that he is banned. He was a great member. Hope the issues will be sorted out.

 

People usually make dup accounts when they have being banned. People who make dup accounts when they have an active account on DP already are mad, and will end up with both accounts being banned.

As for The Emirates Gallastico, never knew him like some people, but if he did break the rules he should be banned, no special treatment for reputable members!

 

there are certain reasons and certain advantages for having duplicating accounts. If you do not realize them, do not bother at all.

 

Yep, I had dealings with emirates gallastico and can only report good things about him, the transactions were all smooth ( I sold him a few domains over several transactions from memory ).

However, and unfortunately in this case it has to be said, breaking the rules is breaking the rules, and if he did indeed have multiple accounts then it is only right that he be banned despite being a member of high standing within the forums.

 

I bet it was due to an IP conflict when he was visiting India.

May he was using some wireless connection and someone else was using it as well to go on DP.

 

With such a comment you can avoid this thread

 

mostly people use it for scamming. just imagine if you allowed, people will just use new account to cheat people then regist new account and cheat again. Those people need to be perm banned.

 

I surf DP quite oftenly with US or UK country VPNs and I never had issues

 

For some reasons I think The Emirates Gallastico had an duplicate account
Mr Wonderful someone you might remember Mr Wonderful he used to selling some good well written ebooks as The Emirates Gallastico did

I think some are running multiple accounts so they can sell additional signature spaces.

 

They can itrade themselves

 

I wouldn't be so quick to blame a member especially when he is not here
to defend himself.
I think Emirates Gallastico has sufficiently explained his position in his TUK
blog and everybody who dealt with him only had good things to say about him
including me.

By all means ban members who have duplicate accounts but genuine members
who have built up a position of trust over a period of time should be given a
chance to appeal.

 

I've been friends with Jason (aka Emirates Gallastico) for a long time. By his own accounts, he didn't even know you could make money on the internet at the time that Mr. Wonderful went inactive. I trust Jason and I really regret his ban.

 

Yeah Jason (The Emirates Gallastico) was a good trader and e-book write. Used to idolize him. Hope they fix the issue.

 

Everyone gets his due someday..

 

I cant find any reason for someone to use multiple account other than performing scam.

Or perhaps someone with multiple personality disorder. Haha

 

Multiple accounts to go with multiple personalities maybe?

They dont last long here, even established members do it, they soon get caught.
