Running an Affiliate Store - Law Abiding

    Hi everyone,

I would like to build and run my own affiliate store as opposed to pre-configured stores like astore.

Therefore, should I have a logo indicating that the store is an affiliate store? Should I have legal disclaimers indicating something like (not responsible for returns, refunds, etc, etc). Should I have a description near the re-direct link indicating that I will be redirecting to the actual store?

I'm just looking for some examples or suggestions on how to inform the customer that my store is just a referral point and possibly have a legal disclaimer in the event that someone wants to take their purchases from my site to the courts in case they're not happy with the purchases or whatever the case may be?

    Thanks

Search Google for coupon and check those sites. Their affiliate and see how they have written a privacy policy to protect themselves.

    Thanks,

Usually coupon sites do have affiliates, but I think that's a bit different.

I want to build a small store front with prices, descriptions, etc. All of these products will redirect to the affiliate. I don't want to get the customer confused thinking they're buying from me...should I have some sort of popup when they click the link advising that they're being redirected to the affiliated store maybe? Anyone know of any similar sites?

    Thanks

Have something like: "Buy it from Amazon" or "buy it from ebay" before the affiliate link..this will make people notice that your providing them a deal..not you selling it yourself...

have a disclaimer page on your site too..just to be extra cautious..

Type coupon in Google and check out the sites. Sounds like you need to work with datafeeds? One thing you will not be able to keep up with are price changes and that is a top customer service complaint.

coupon sites ARE affiliates, they don't HAVE affiliates.
