I know that yahoo can be notoriously slow in indexing inner pages, but does anyone think that running adsense can affect it? I usually incorporate adsense into new sites, not because they will provide immediate clicks, but to blend the ads for when they start receiving traffic. I have about 10 newer sites (all original content, 2-3 months in age) that haven't had inner pages indexed in yahoo even though yahoo spiders them almost daily. I just noticed that an unfinished site that I had been working on was indexed by yahoo within a few weeks. I was shocked as there was very little content and only one incoming link that I know of. The difference in this site (besides being unfinished) is that I hadn't incorporated adsense into it yet. Since yahoo and google are competitors - and any traffic yahoo sends to adsense sites benefits google, I started wondering if yahoo could have a filter in place that can be triggered based on detecting a certain number or percentage of adsense ads? I plently of older sites with adsense that are indexed by yahoo, and obviously yahoo isn't banning sites just because of adsense, but I wondered if anyone else had experienced a new non-adsense site getting indexed faster than a new adsense-running site? I'm not suggesting this is the case, it just sorta makes sense from a yahoo business perspective - especially with all the trashy feeder sites that have sprung up because of adsense.
Well new sites should have no problems in getting indexed on yahoo.Just requires proper optimization Adsense does not effect ur site being indexed by Yahoo IMO
This would be a good test, start two sites, one with, one without and watch the results. I would hope what you suggest is not the case!
You should read the posts before responding (take note of the question mark). There was no statement, only a question. The question wasn't whether or not adsense pages rank well with yahoo- I have many #1 rankings on older sites. The question was whether or not it can affect indexing on NEW sites. If you read the original post, it explains the reasons I asked the question.
I think Yahoo is just slow to fully index new sites in general and it wouldn't be in their interests to tamper with what they think are relevent results just because of Adsense.
I have since added 3 new sites. Two are not running adsense and one is running adsense but I removed my merchant id. The two not running adsense are already indexed in yahoo (took about a week) and the one with adsense has not been - although it is being spidered. None have a large number of pages. Again, I not saying this means anything- it could just be a coincidence- just posting an observation in case anyone else has experience the same thing with a NEW site that is running adsense. I usually only run 1 adsense unit per page and all these sites have 100% original content.
...but had to sell it so that they could show some profit for the 2nd quarter. They had qiute a lot of shares.
