I have a channel on youtube, not selling anything but just want to get some more views so I'm trying a adwords campaign but it's not doing anything. I probably budgeted too little. $25 haha. is that even going to work? i adjusted it to 2.50 a day for 10 days. I raised the max cpv to 10 cents,
The other question is if I do a campaign, i don't pay til the end? Is that how it works? It only gave me the option for automatic payment
What would be a good daily and or total budget?

The budget is Ok, perhaps CPV offer is too low, depends on competition, try to raise it.
Normally you pay after 30 days (or 15 days) or 100 €/$ (or 50 €/$) whatever comes first.

after you spend 20 €/$ you can also get a coupon "spend 20 €, get 60 €" but you need an MCC account or get it from an adwords agency.

okay, now i have problems. i had a daily budget of 8 dollars and yesterday it went to 50 dollars so i lowered it to 3 dollars and today its billed 200 dollars! i'm not sure what to do. my budget for the campaign was 100 and it's already billed 260 in 3 days. i don't even have that in my bank account right now

    What is your question?

If you want to stop the campaigns set every campaign to pause.

How is that possible? Like how did you budget got high automatically itself when you set it to 3 dollars a day, how can it go higher automatically.

Maybe, instead of paid advertising, try building your channel first by creating better/more concise content and putting better or more niche keywords in the description. After creating enough of these videos your audience should start to build, at which point if it is significant enough, then it may be good to look into a paid ad campaign.
