Hi, I am thinking to open a free domain name service, i already have tried with free hosting and doing good so far, but to provide a free domain i never tried. What you think? drawbacks? advantages? Revenue streams? Thanks.
How can you earn anything if you're running a free domain service? I'm not quite sure about that. In addition, what if people abuse it? They just keep registering all the domain names they could think of, etc.
The point Fratal made is a very good one. With hosting, you can monitor that they have your ads on their website, and if they don't then you can either put them in via their hosting or stop hosting them. With a domain, however, what's to stop them changing the nameservers and running off? This would mean you're out of pocket and they have a free domain. Your only option that I can think of would to be to register the domain yourself and not give them the passwords...
are you going to provide free .com domain service ? or just subdomain.com adsense will be your only revenue
