Run Adword Campaign @ 0.01

    Hello,

For the keyword, I have chosen there is no advertiser (I check this by searching in google.). Will I get the ad placed for 0.01?

While google is still suggesting 0.05 to set a max CPC, when I set 0.01 as Max CPC, it indicated "Inactive for Search" status for keywords.

Please put your thoughts on this?

That's because Google has put a minimum bid on that keyword. Still, 0.05 is is cheap and I'm surprised there's still ones available for that cheap.

Yah I think the lowest minimum bid you can go is $.05... which I would take advantage of.

Just because there's no other advertiser, doesn't necessarily mean you'll get that keyword for a minimum bid. Your quality score will also dictate the price - the relevancy of your landing page, keyword and ad text.

if there are no advertisers there may be a reason for it

either google doesn't allow it, or there is no money in that market

I agree. Absolutely. You should check whether there is a market for that word at all.

Remember, there is always a reason for it. Try it out and see if it converts for what your targeting, however please remember to keep your costs down as much as possible while testing. If out of the gate it converts like crazy start throwing money at it. However, with as many people playing the "marketing game" on adwords, there's bound to be a reason for it.

I also agree with this one.

About 5 months ago I also though that I found really nice keywords with no competition...

...but that was the gambling industry that is not allowed by google:(

Not sure that I follow you there. Your minimum bid is determined by these factors, but you can appear for whatever your minimum bid is. If you bid exactly your minimum bid, Google will show your advert, and it can't charge you more...
