I got an offer for chitika. Is it OK to run adsense & chitika on the site, and if so, who's used them and which does better?
The question is not "Can I use Chitika with Adsense?". It's "Why on Earth are you even considering Chitika at this point?" Read the messages on this board. No one is making money with Chitika anymore. But yes, you can use both on the same site. You can use the money you earn from Adsense to pay for the therapy you'll need with Chitika. Is it just me, or is everyone who runs a website getting an invitation from Chitika these days? Meanwhile, everyone who's already signed up is ready to drop them.
Ya, cheatika is back to there old ways, they simply suck, not worth using them at all, might as well try Kontera+Adsense.
I definitely appreciate the heads up on cheatika. I just started a new blog and I was considering running it.
I got an invitation, signed up, received a personal phone call and thought I'd give it a try. Just like everyone said here(wish I had read it sooner) they were good for a couple of days then drop. Then I notice where I had them placed on my site that the ads were just blank white boxes...WTF! The next day my page rank that was 3 and 2 across the site was "Google Smacked". Now my entire site is page rank 0. Also started loosing traffic from Google 2 days after I put Chitika ads on. I do not think the almighty Google likes the fact that Cheatika is promoting using the to ads together. Since I have completely removed Cheatike ads from all my sites, my traffic is coming back and the revenue to go with it. Still no page rank though I Do Not Recommend anyone try Chitika/Cheatika Ads ever!!! Costly lesson for me! Hope this helps anyone that is considering it to stay away!!
I don't think your Google page rank or traffic numbers had anything to do with Chitika. I ran Adsense and Chitika on my site for over a year and my site is currently a 5. I recently removed Chitika's ads from my site and I'm still a 5, with no change in traffic. Your problem was obviously caused by something else.
