Confused about using your service of directory submissions 1st time going to do this have questions ..... 1) directories allow submission of just one page is it only the home page or can it be some other page 2)title links to that home page used for submissions should it be only what the home page is being optimized for or can it can it be for the keywords being used for the other 15 different categorized optimized sections of the site 3) before using your service how can i avoid anchor text spamming and using different anchor texts what is this anchor text is it the title that is requested, and should i create a list of about 10 totally different keyword phrases i am optimizing for and use them to point to the home page in directory submissions with different descriptions...or should they all be pointing to deep internal pages to help those pages for ranking 5) my focus really right now is I am trying to push me up on 1st page for my primary keyword "clown new york" and concerned about being penalized for using "clown new york" to many times with all of my directory submissions so how should this be approached without getting in trouble now that i will be doing directory submissions for the 1st time
I'm not entirely sure if you are asking how to submit to directories or are asking how to hire someone to submit for you. I am assuming you are asking about submitting in general and have answered accordingly. 1.) It varies from directory to directory. The majority only accept the homepage but some accept or even encourage interior/other pages. Many directory owners will accept interior pages with additional fees for becoming a "featured" listing. Some make the primary link to the homepage and offer additional "deep links" as a bonus or paid for extra. You will have to check each directory's terms of service(TOS) to know what their rules are. 2.) Again, this varies as well. The safest bet is to use the site's name. Some directories allow for something like Joe's Place - Your Red Widget Store, others allow keywords in moderation and some will let you get away with just about anything. Again, you will have to check the TOS for each directory. 3.) Yes, the "title" becomes the anchor text. And, yes it's a good idea to change it from time to time to optimize for more phrases. Just keep in mind that not all directories will accept a title that includes anything more than your site's title. 5.) Unless you suddenly get 5 gazillion links to your site for your phrase, chances are good you would not get penalized. The one thing I wonder with your particular phrase is that since it is not entirely correct from a grammatical point of view that you might have some directory owners changing it a bit. But, I would think in the long run that would just provide you with even more keywords that you might find yourself ranking for.
If you pay for a listing, such as a paid directory or featured link, they will usually accept it even if it's a deep link, and they will also usually let you put keywords in the title. But if it's a free submission, they probably won't allow you to do these things, and there is a good chance of rejection if you do.
This is a good explanation.. its clear... that an answer I was looking for from the Authors question.
