Rule - You must post the url in the "sites" and "domains" section

hi,

i find it infuriating that people post sites and domains for sale and fail to post the url in the thread that they want to sell. every other domain/webmaster forum has this rule and send warning points for those who dont obey.

they use the excuse that it will be picked up by the search engines but a simple solution is to post it like

InsertMyName (dot) com

good idea, it can help to reduce people posting in the thread with

"Pm me the URL"
"Site URL, pls"

that will be subject to thread bumping

 

Been suggested before.

Some people don't like posting the URL, but they could just use the nofolllow BB code

 

and yes the reason would probably be for privacy, as you know if you type your domain in a post a search engine will pick it up and archive it. Then someone could just google your domain and find your post with it in it.

For that you could put your domain in image.

 

its getting to the point where people are saying

Thread Topic : Forum for sale

In the thread : PM for details


No details of traffic, revenue, stats, url or price...
They only want people to PM so they can bump the thread and spam people via PM.
