Rubik's Cube Anyone?

    Hey everyone,

I've recently picked up the Rubik's Cube and I'm having a hard time putting it down. My first solve took me two hours at my aunts on Easter. Now, since then, I've found different algorithms and methods online and with some practice (I'm pretty much addicted) I've gotten my time down under two minutes each time.

My best solve time was a minute 11 seconds yesterday. I want to break a minute. I've memorized a ton of different algos and it really is fun once you learn to solve it.

Anyone else here like solving the cube? What's your best time? I'm pretty far from the 10.36 second World Record, but it's still a fun challene! :)

Ahh, the good 'ol Rubik's Cube. I've never been able to solve it, usually cause I get pissed off after trying for minutes.

That's the problem. You aren't trying to complete colors (whole sides). Your first goal is to make a 4x4x4 cube where everything matches up; then make a 6x4x4, then everything falls into place, pretty much.

I didn't do this for speed. I did this for my blog. You can read about my Rubik's cube things in my blog. Check it out.

PM or AIM me some more ideas. I'd like to hear your thoughts about ways to get faster.

Nice video. I'll try to get a video doing it too.

I finally broke the 1 minute mark!
On Thursday night I got my best time of 57.1 seconds. If you want to test your time, check out this sweet timer application:

It took me several days to solve that thing the first time.
Searching for clues on how to solve it is cheating. wouldn't you rather solve if by yourself. lol.

i can get 2 minutes tops, i get the top 2 layers fairly quickly but that last layer takes me a lot of moves so it adds a ton of time
