I have a WordPress blog www.health-bits.com that's pretty new. I try to update the articles on it at least once a day. I would love to have more articles but that will take time this way. I know RSS can help me build the site traffic and content. I've researched RSS and can not find any help that explains it in NOOB terms. I'm not an HTML expert... hell, I really only know what it stands for. I've seen the thread that YFS1 started with the two different RSS codes. I still have no idea what to do with them. I would like to have more content on my site and have my content sent out as well. Are these two goals at odds with each other? Am I better off concentrating on one more than the other? If so, I'd opt for sending my content out since I don't have "members." (make sense?) As you can see, I'm completely lost here. Thanx for any help you can give me. Marco
I'm not much farther along on this but I can share what I have learned. I would say, yes, experiment with setting up an outbound feed, if for no other reason then to learn the technology. As for displaying an RSS feed, you will need to choose a script, depending on what type page you will display it on. If you have a php page, its a little easier. Here are 2 links, one is a feed writer, the other is for displaying an rss on a .html page: http://benruth.com/?p=59 http://benruth.com/?p=3 more on RSS http://www.eevl.ac.uk/rss_primer/ http://www.2rss.com/articles.php
Thanks for the websites! I'm also learning to add rss feeds. I think it would help me so i'm going to give it a shoot
