RSS Feeds - Seems like they get picked up fast, but...

So, I'm noticing that google seems to really like RSS feeds, and they get indexed real quick. Is this just my limited sample size or are other people noticing this as well?

Also, is there a way to use this? I mean, if a person clicks an RSS feed, so what, it doesn't do much for you, but is there a way to perhaps direct those people to your site? (I can't think of a good way other than cloaking, maybe JS redirect... nothing real good.)

Any ideas? Is this even worth looking into?

    Thanks

I have a few sites with RSS feeds generating from Gogle news and the bots are visiting my sites at a regular interval.

The purpose of having the bots visiting your site frequently is that you can outrank your competitors in terms of new products / services / latest news whenever you update your pages. Since Google index your site more often than your competitors (assming they do not update often), your page will rank higher if the consumers search for some new products / services that you have in your site :)

What about RSS feeds from your site? For instance, DP has them for each forum. How I guess that gets things crawled faster, but I wonder if there is a way to get a better advantage than just google maybe seeing links faster?
