    you didnt put any info regarding your site and what you intend to do with the rss feed. not sure you want to add rss feed on your site or blog either. if it is wordpress blog, then there are lot of themes that come with rss feed on them.

    also, adding the feed is one thing and allowing the visitors to subscribe to your feed is another thing. you may look at http://www.feedburner.com/ which might help

    you can just create your RSS by the software- feedforall download it free. It automatically create your feed.
