I have been trying to hunt down more info on RSS feeds and how they can help with SEO. I have found some info on it, but my problem is that they all assumed the reader had some prior knowledge of what RSS was. I have absolutely no idea what it is, or how it can help with SEO for a website. Does anyone have any links to articles or sites which explain this in really basic terms? Would love to know more about how to go about using this. Cheers
I don't have any links but you can see a sites feed by clicking the orange box in the search field at the top. Like the one at the top of this page. If you have a wordpress site or blog than it will have a feed.
RSS means Really Simple Syndication and it is really very useful in terms of SEO as if you have RSS for your site or blog then if people really like your site content then they can subscribe your rss and get alert each time when you update your site and also if you have submitted your RSS feed to rss and blog directories then each time when you update your site or blog your site will automatically updated wherever you have submitted your rss but make sure to ping after updating your blog or site.
