I'm wondering how having your blog listed on an RSS feed reading site will affect SEO. Take a look at this page (not my site): http://www.feedmap.net/blog/offshor...gujarat/C97B6C91D997140C3A4E0366B558829F.aspx The posts are posted in full. Will this be read as duplicate content or not? Or do search engines recognize RSS readers as a different type of source?
The duplicate content filter is an endeavor by Google to give credibility to the original source. What it tries to do is show the original content and filter out duplicate copies. How it does is a different story altogether. Now with RSS feeds the search engines are already aware that it is a feed of the original content can easily locate the original source. Due to this it does not create duplicate content issues. If such feed were classed as duplicate content, think of all the social media websites, all they have is duplicate content.
Don't submit to rss directories immediately after you start your blog or site. The rss will be indexed faster and your site might be seen as duplicate content. Make sure google is crawling you fast enough before submitting your rss. Take a look to what directory you submit. If they don't provide a link to the original article or if the link is nofollow then forgot about it.
