what is difference between Rss and Atom? that i know very well want is rss and y we can use for rss but still i m confused with below query....... when i subscribe with this yahoo blogging website(http://www.ysearchblog.com/),than it give's two option like: Subscribe with ATOM Subscribe with RSS Web 2.o -Collee
Yes Collee, Rss Feeds and Atom both are different in technology. Yet both are using for same purpose. For syndication of the content. Read this 5th difference, it is explained very simply that what is difference and how it is helpful to readers, 5. Autodiscovery is standardized in the Atom specification, whereas in RSS there have been several ways to discover feeds, to this date. boths RSS and Atoms are using same purpose but RSS is easy to use and it is popular. atoms is good method.
