Fellow digital point members, it has been recently reported that scientists want to "scrap the existing Internet and start over." You can read about it under this link:http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070414/ap_on_hi_te/rebuilding_the_internet_8

    Translation

What researchers are really saying is that the Internet is not under the control of big government, and big corporations, so they want to "start over" again to "improve the web."

Come on Illuminati. You Fu***ers better play chess a little bit better if you want to outsmart me. This is only a proposal for an government/corporate take over of the net.

Whatever they propose, I will not accept, because it will be BS. Anyone who thinks different is a moron. I'd rather have an Internet with spam than with government control. Enough said.

I'd actually support a new internet. The existing internet already has government control, and it's the U.S. government controlling it.

With the new Internet, you won't be able to register certain types of websites, and you will have to pay a domain tax. Does that sound like freedom? The existing Internet is not controlled by the U.S. Government, trust me on that one. It may be owned by the U.S., but that is right, because ARPANET was made here. You haven't seen control yet.

You want to talk about control? Try to start your own oil company, or phone company. That is control.

Imagine an internet where only big businesses can make money. Don't you know that is what they will create?

Anita you might want to go read up a little bit on this subject. The "new" Internet is not what you think it will be. I guarantee you it WILL BE government controlled. Imagine having forums like digital point shut down. Don't believe it can happen?

Anita, do you enjoy being charged for every email you send out? Let the government take over, and that is exactly what will happen.

You see, I read a lot, and I know how my enemies think. I know that the government screwed up by allowing the net to fall into the hands of the people. Normally, the government conceals advanced technologies like the Internet. But they underestimated it, and it got big. Now it is a big problem, because it gets in the way of their NEW WORLD ORDER.

What better way to take back the net under your control, than by proposing the creation of a "new" and "better" Internet?

Come on Anita! These people play Chess, they don't play checkers!!!!!!!!!

The Internet is fine exactly the way it is. The Internet can evolve on its own. It doesn't need assistant from government or corporations. Governments will only screw it up, intentionally..............

This proposal is so F*cking convenient. Just when the mainstream media is dying, and corporations are losing their control, suddenly, we need a "new" Internet. Oh come on!!!!!!!!!! A five year old child could see past this BS!!!!!!!

Wow, I hope not. I can imagine if the government took over the Internet and controlled what we do, it would be completely unfair. They are just looking to make money out of it, they want to suck up every dime they can get. They will tax EVERYTHING on the internet.

I heard this on the radio!

It *seems* that it would be safer.. but imagine all of the money spent on just maintaining it.. could be used for something else that's more urgent

As more and more people start getting the real news off of the internet rather than the utter rubbish that FOX, BBC, ABC, CNN etc sprouts then we will find the Illuminati fools trying to rule the world panicking even more.

They need full control, and that is what they get from the mainstream media (just listen to GTech and d16man for two shining examples. )

More and more people are starting to wake up to the BS and looking at internet media (like the superb www.whatreallyhappened.com amongst others.)

Even Google's power is limited. They can't tax domains, or give preferential treatment to large corporations. The government has the power to do this.

I have theorized on how the U.S. government operates. It goes like this:

    1. Scientists at laboratory create some advanced technology

    2. A committee then gets together to look at potential military applications

    3. If it is good for the military, they adopt it, and use it.

    4. Once the military is presented with a better technology, the older technology is passed down to corporation, if it is determined it can be sold to the public, and if the public does not get freedom from it, they can be sold the technology. If the technology gives the population too much power, it is hidden from them, and not sold.

    5. The corporations, once given the technology, sell it to the public for outrageous prices.

    6. Money earned from sale of BS technologies are placed back into gov/corp pockets, which is then used to create more powerful technologies to manipulate and control the masses.

The Internet went through the process I listed above. But the government mistakenly thought it would not bring freedom. You see, corps and govs love to sell us BS technologies like cell phones, video game consoles, and stupid big screen tvs.....all BS technologies with no significance.

But the govs and corps will not let you access alternative energy, UFO tech, or anything of significance. They only sell you technologies that can keep you dumbed down, stupid, and in debt or broke.

Meanwhile, the corps and govs use the proceeds from these sales to invest in REAL technologies. The Internet was their biggest screw up. And with this proposal, they are trying to fix it. But they won't fool me.

As soon as I saw this on Yahoo news, I knew it was complete BS.

If they really want to shut it down they will. It will only be few of us against it. I already see a pattern in our media lately how Internet is bad for children etc...guess what ... most people with 30 an up years already think that Internet is bad boy and it has to "change" like those researches say. Critical mass is quickly climbing and it is only a matter of time when they will start more aggressive campaign how Internet is guilty for most of bad things their children do .....

You may be right, but we have to fight back in any way we can. First, we should support the existing Internet, and fight for net neutrality. Second, don't buy anything that is related to this "new" Internet, which will probably be Internet 2.

This news article makes me really angry, because I know what it is really about. I'm glad a lot of people here at Digital Point see what I'm talking about.

I don't want to go back to stupid 9 to 5 job. I'm out of the rat race, and I want to stay out of it. I just had one of my online employees thanking me this morning for helping them make money.

They told me how hard it was to find a "regular" job in their country. I told them I know, because their government, just like my government, wants the people to be in destitute poverty, without even a Middle Class. The people who propose this are biggest pieces of trash on earth..........I hope they die a slow and extremely painful death.......pieces of trash.

There are lots of ignorant people out there when it comes to the internet, they can twist it around and say the safety of your kids/family and finance is at risk, blah, bahl. I mean its true but they can blow it out of proportion..

That sounds like a great idea. :)

Seriously, I think that will happen. Intelligent online users know the existing Internet is the best. They will work together to fight the forces of evil.

I'm not a religious person, but the Internet, as it exists now, is the closest thing to God I think................
