.RS domain names ?

.rs domain names are new domain names of Serbia, before them we had .yu
I'm not sure but i think that .rs are only for firms in Serbia and co.rs would be for everyone to register.
So what do you think, should i buy few of good one, like some main keywords or such and sell them or what should i do ?
Registrations are not open yet, but will be very soon, maybe in few days.

 

I think they will transfer all the existing names from *.yu to *.rs so all the good names will be taken.

 

If you can get some premium (like poker). Even fair generics are worthless for an unknown extension.

 

yap, they will transfer from existing from .yu to .rs but there are a lot of good that are not taken.
So what premium names do you suggest, i'm not sure if i should invest a lot of money in those domain names, would the pay off ?!

 

tell us when they'll start too because i'm interested in few .rs ... if you could find a domain register that accepts PayPal for .rs share it with us please

 

When is .rs coming out & where can you register them & what price?

 

Well you can't register them, i think it would be only for people from Serbia, like .yu was.
And none accept paypall because we are blocked from paypall.
Price will be around 10$ for co.rs that can be register by people from Serbia and only .rs will be more expensive and only one domain per firm.
Registrations would be open soon, in few days.
I could register co.rs for you guys if you have moneybookers, and i would have access for one .rs maybe i will sell it too probably
And thats only if everything is like i sad, i'm not sure yet... we will see.

 

They are going to transfer the domains. It was officially told on rnids.rs (Registar Nacionalnog Internet Domena Srbije - Registrant of National Serbian Internet Domain)

BTW, I think that they will not publish .co.rs . It's hard for people (from other countries) to remember. I would prefer e.g. mysite.rs to mysite.co.rs

 

Only people for Serbia will be able to register them and all good domains will remain in Serbia

 

Well you may be right, if i have money i would buy bunch of them and sell them here, i hope someone would do this.

Some registar will give you administrative contact for Serbia like for Slovakia e.t.c

 

RNIDS went official: new domain prices will be 1500 dinara (about 17 EUR, 25$) for ".rs", 500 dinara (6 EUR, 9$) for ".co.rs" and only 300 dinara (3 EUR, 5$) for ".in.rs". In addition, ".edu.rs" will be available, as well as ".gov.rs" but those won't be available to register.

They should be open very soon, and that informations about price are not really true. They will be more expensive, those prices are for domain registers, it says with big bold red letters on RNIDS web page

ok ,but how to know when will open ? if will be open only for Serbia i think is better to come and take one ... 50 - 70 km is not so much ....
