Hi I am thinking to register a domain, but have no cedit cards. Can I register a domain name with someone else' credit cards? If so does the domain belong to him or to me?
Sure you can use other's CC, CC is only a billing method, does not affect the domain ownership. The most important is control the account.
Ok thanks for letting me know, was making unsolicited offers with some dodgy links etc. Many thanks. Mark Magawr
Back to the original question. You can send a money order, cashier's check, or bank wire to many registrars to establish an advance payment account. Then you buy out of that account, after the check has cleared. An advantage is a quicker checkout - a good thing when you are sweating that someone else does not grab the domain before you.
Makes no difference if CC is in your name, or your family. The registration process would ask you to provide who would be admin contact, and such details, so I can buy a domain with my CC, but with named contact of my friends, family or anyone for that matter, similarly you can buy a domain with your name, but make a payment from any CC that is available with you. If you do it by paypal, the process is same, and domain ownership is with the person who has filled the form, not the person who holds a CC or a paypal account. Hope that helps,
