Hello, i am looking for quotes, the site wont be started yet, im just looking for a price to tell the investor before i start designing, i have an investor who will be paying it, so basically i want a PHP website, i want a custom CMS and it will basically be themeforest, but i will be combining graphicriver and themeforest together so all types of graphics files under one roof - i also wanted to have am extra feature so that programmers can team up with designers and split the profits automatically. i will want to make it more social as well, so there will be a facebook style tab page on the users profile. the site domain i have is www.graphiccrypt.com - there is nothing on there at the moment, it must be designed so it can be tested on a shared hosting account, but once complete we will be going onto a dedicated server (dont see the point in paying for one when not using it) A big issue with me is security, i want it as secure as can be, also i dont want any upload timeout issues, as these files are going to be large 500MB max and it must have a progress bar, and stop the server from stopping the upload from timouts etc. i want the coding clean and with good commented as well. so if you check out themeforest and give me a quote for the future, i am aware and have played around with multiple clones of themeforest but i dont want a clone as we arent themeforest its just the same functionality. just looking for a rough quote, and a rough timeline for this sort of project thanks neil.
Just giving some friendly advice since I can't do this because of the project is too big. You need to choose your programmer carefully. If I were you I wouldn't bring this kind of project to be done by some online freelancer. Sure you need to spend a hell more than $1000 to create a website with same functionality with the theme forest. And not to mention future possible problem or bug. You have to choose your provider carefully not just some fly by night programmer just for the sake of your website itself. If I were you, I will choose offline provider (preferably company), sure they have much higher price. But they will give you support when your website goes into a problem and I am pretty sure it will. Regards yokowasis. ps : I don't mean to offense anyone. If you are a developer and you fell like you can handle this project go ahead propose him. But please be responsible.
full custom would set you back way more than $1000 and about 120+ days of work for one guy... what I suggest is to hire a team or build your own team, may they be online guys from different asian countries or your local guys.. its up to the project manager to make sure things are getting done...
