Rough correlation between traffic (Analytics) and income (Adsense)?

For those who are experienced with Adsense, do you have a rough correlation between traffic (either views or visitors/month) and income ($/month)? I realize it's an oversimplification, but let's make a few assumptions:

-It's an information website with new content posted daily.
-It is fairly targeted and has a high % of return visitors (nearing 50%) because of the content.
-It doesn't promote any products or sell anything. It's purely information.

I've been lurking here for a little bit and have some numbers in mind, but I'd like to know if there's a rough estimate of views:income.

    Thanks!

It depends on the niche and CTR of course, but a RPM (revenue per thousand page view) of $5 is correct / average.
So by using this figure you can estimate the monthly income.
    100,000 page views = $500

of course if you find out that you get less than $5 RPM on your own site you have the opportunity to optimize your CTR with ad placement until you reach at least $5 RPM.

There is only ONE way to know what kind of earnings your website, with your traffic, and your content will generate from Adsense: Put it on, and try it.
ANYTHING else is just speculation and guessing and in some cases already posted here, worthless attempts to run-up post counts.

Come on Tearabite, I'm sure you have some experience :)
Me I'm talking about $5 RPM not as a maximum or any average, I'm talking about it as a minimum goal to achieve for any "correct" site.. I mean if a site can't do that, then I'd still be working on improving its CTR until it does..

But some sites, due to the high CPC, it's so easy to reach $5 RPM that it is not worth talking about it.. But in general, I think $5 RPM is correct, like I think CPC $0.1 is correct (and so CTR 5% is correct)

After several years of playing with adsense we can say such things as a RPM of $5 is correct with adsense and sometimes easily reachable, most of the time by making sure your CTR is top notch.

Thanks for the replies. I'll elaborate a little more: it's a blog in a fairly specific niche (similar to self improvement but more narrow), but hosted on my own server. I don't know if that will affect it or not.

What kind of traffic should I be looking at before I plug in adsense? I plan on having ~25 posts/month (has only been going for 3 weeks so far). I'm up to 100 views/day (according to Analytics). I am aiming at 1000/day by end of November. I don't want to add it before there's enough content for it to properly crawl, and I'm guessing having some backlinks (outside of just other forums) would help as well.

With 1000 view you can earn at least $10 USD.
