Rotating content - best way

    Hey guys:

We all know unique content updated regularly is key to good ranking and a long positive relationship with google.

I had a static site but am now offering daily content, and updating the homepage showing the main news (5 links per week which change and have 100 character previews on a rotating basis taken form a news page) in order for my home to change periodically, and I am also making 5 new pages per week on the news page.

Thing is, my rank dropped when I started doing this. Is there a better way to do rotating content than this in order to gain back rank, keep Google happy as I am providing new content etc... than to do it in this manner?

    Thanks.

I do not the your content rotation has anything to do with a dropped in ranking, unless the whole content has been changed which is not. I would recommend you go check internal linking and how they flowed. Your website is HTML static and the internal linking may have a problem, like orphaned page since they are done dynamically.

Otherwise I would recommend you check to see if those news is uniqueness and written by you and not coped someone else new to paste on your website.

Instead of rotating your content you should add new content periodically and see if your ranking improves. If you start rotating the posts again and it goes down I would stop doing it and just update your site with fresh, new content.

So, I dont have to change the homepage, just add internal news everyday and that will be fine to meet google´s content criteria?
