    Hi!

I like to know root domain (main domain) keyword rank affect the blog other posts rank? Because of some of my competitor doesn't have much backlinks to their blog posts, than me. But they have higher rank (Google) than my blog posts. Anybody have a good idea?

    Thanks!

The Root Domain will always hold some weight.

Wikipedia can put up a page about whatever it wants, even if there is NO backlinks to the page, it will still rank very well.

The root domain has a great effect on how blog posts will rank as the domain itself holds some ranking influence.

I hope that answers the question!

A EMD (Exact Match Domain) does infact your rankings. Even after the latest Google updates I have seen that my sites with EMD are ranking easy for the keyword in the domain. But my sites does have good content and are not spammy.

Focus on good blog content and you will rank.

That the keyword is in the domain. So you focus on "My long keyword" and you domain is MyLongKeyword.com

The domain state exactly the keyword you'r after.

SEO is much more complex than just "backlinks"...

You must understand the following combinations, and how it all balances out:

    1) On-Page Optimization
    2) Off-Page Optimization
    3) Interlinking
    4) Social Media Presence
    5) Domain Authority (PR), If root domain is strong, chances are it's inner pages will rank as well.

They all affect how a website ends up ranking a search engine.

    Hope that helps,

    Marc
