Root Directory

    Please can someone help me, I'm new to all this.

    Where can I find the Root Directory? Is it in the Database (Mysql).

    I have downloaded Joomla and it Say's: For your security please completely remove the installation directory including all files and sub-folders

    I have the database username, password and so on but I don't have the operating system to log in.

    Can someone help please.

    The root directory is public_html or www. And its part of the file system. Access it through control panel>file manager. And there should be an install directory that you need to delete. If you have FTP access you can do it through there.
