Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty

This is my new Ron Paul update thread, as he has totally and official wound down his Presidential Campaign, but has really ramped up his efforts to establish a permanent liberty movement on the right (although, it's really UP on a Nolan Chart, not left or right).

So here is the URL for the Campaign for Liberty.

    http://www.campaignforliberty.com/

The blog has a lot of revolution luminaries, like Trevor Lyman (Money Bomb Guy), Dr. Thomas E. Woods (Revolution Broadcasting, and Mises Institute Fellow), Michael Nystrom (DailyPaul.com Owner and Administrator), Jesse Benton (Presidential Campaign Communications Organizer), Jeff Frazee (Presidential Campaign Youth Coordinator), Dan McCarthy (Official Presidential Campaign Blogger, Pat Buchanan's American Conservative Magazine Blogger, and owner of Tory Anarchist Blog)

Entries of interest today (June 25th 2008)

Ron Paul has a kick butt 4 minute video explaining what the FED didn't do this week, and what that means for the economy. His ability to communicate monetary issues clearly is getting better all the time.

    Watch it here, http://www.house.gov/paul/

Ron Paul’s Statement on HR 6304, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) Amendments

Lots more to come. Things are just starting. :)

Ron Paul really is the best candidate out there. I aagree with most of what he supports but I think he is too "radical" for today's world. He wants us to be isolated but that is not really possible since the world is so global these days. I support a pull out of the UN but again we are one of the few nations that actually try to get stuff done in the UN so they really need us.

I agree with his economic policies.
I agree with his stance on abortion.
I agree with following the Constitution.
I disagree with his Iraq stance and the patriot act. That is the some of the few issues him and I are differing on.

He isnt too radical for todays world. He is too truthful, but this time i think the message is starting to come across. I saw a guy at a stop light with a ron paul bumper on his car and talked to him for a bit. He said(and rightly so), that he would never even think of voting for those other BOZOS who only just give the american people " the runaround".

I thought to myself " finally america is starting to get the message" and in san diego even. Maybe the sun has fried all of our brain cells yet:D.

Yes he is truthful compared to most other candidates. But some of his ideals are still radical.
I would vote for him this fall. But I will have to vote for McCain because it is between him and Obama. Obama is the worse choice of the three. Paul is the best. But McCain has a better chance of beating Obama so I will take him.

Sad taht I have to vote for a guy I do not really like. He should pick Ron Paul for his VP choice. I really think that would be a great move. It would gain him a lot of support. And maybe...just maybe McCain would die and Paul would get in :D

    You have other choices

    http://www.bobbarr2008.com/

    http://baldwin2008.com/

Both of these men are running on Paul-esque platforms. Baldwin more so than Barr.

Why vote for a false choice? McCain is not the answer, and neither is Obama. Voting for Stalin to stop Hitler is a terrible compromise to make.

Yes but I cannot vote for them when they have no chance. I would take anybody over Obama, Even if it is McCain.

And they will never have a chance if you don't vote for them. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Well statistically speaking McCain has a better chance then Paul. So I will go with that until more of the country sees who we really need in office. Until that day I will do what I can to keep Obama out of office.

The Campaign for Liberty is hard at work

    Thursday, June 26, 2008

Fourteen days off the ground and the Campaign for Liberty’s new office is open, the phone lines are being installed, and we are busy at work.

Our membership is already climbing towards 100,000. Invite your friends and family to join the Campaign for Liberty with our new email invitation tool. Can we get to 75,000 by Independence Day?

In September, we will roll out a brand new redesign of our website, with lots of innovative features and extensive resources. Our Precinct Leader Program will engage the grassroots; our news service will compete with the likes of Drudge and Huffington Post; and our blogging network - far more participatory than what we have now - will be a hub for news and opinion.

Between now and then you’ll see important updates and specific plans as we progress toward our goal.

But the great culmination and official premiere will take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on September 2. A grand rally is in store with speakers, musicians, and live entertainment. It will be a day to remember. Please join us. We will update you on the rally in just a couple weeks.

If we are to restore our Constitution and take our country back, we will do so only by the kind of sustained and organized action that the establishment hopes we don’t have the stomach for. As usual, you’re going to prove them wrong. We are in this for the long haul, and we have the tools - and the ideas - to win. As Congressman Paul has said, “No army can stop an idea whose time has come.”

    For liberty,
    The Campaign for Liberty Team

P.S. It’s no cliché to say that our country’s future is at stake. The Campaign for Liberty is preparing to lead the charge to rescue our republic and restore the Constitution. Every donation, no matter what the size, aids us in this great battle. We deeply appreciate every bit of help you can give us.

Ron Paul is irrelevant as a presidential candidate; he does have some grapes to speak his mind even if it’s not popular. This I respect.

McCain is the Bob Dole candidate, no chance of winning so the republicans can put him up as they lick their wounds and get their house back in order.

I'm not american but it would be nice if obama was president (I prefer Ron Paul but from what I understand (very little) it's between obama and mccain only now) just because honestly it's enough with the republicans, if american people vote for another republican it's then clear that a majority of them are stupid, because they already voted again for bush a second time and that already could be forgiven only because playing on fear works, but it shouldn't work any time, all the time, in this case they're stupid.

Look in 8 years what the republican have done economically to the us dollar! OK republicans supporters can find 1000 explanation about why it's not their fault and how the democrats would have done worse, but the fact is they're saying that to keep in power. So american should learn their lesson and TRY the democrat now instead of giving the republican another 4 years to go on with their wonderful politics!

Vicky I can't believe you actually support the war, let alone the Patriot Act. I honestly don't know anyone today who does. You realize the Patriot Act allows the Government to throw anyone they want into jail indefinitely, right?

Look up Murat Kurnaz, the innocent German tortured and held in Guantanamo for 4 years.

The government is starting to remind me of Nazi Germany.

Yes, the situation is really bad. People still don't know much about the Patriot act, still don't understand, or just don't care, because they are not yet affected by it. But in the future, they may become victims too. Patriot Act is completely opposed to the American Values of Liberty. Habeas Corpus is completely suppressed. People's rights are gone. And they don't even know...

P.S. I saw your Lender Profile on Kiva.org.. Awesome Job :D You are really great... [IMG]

Paul has made, and will continue to make a difference. The Campaign for Liberty is going to be an amazing legacy.

Ron Paul on the Planned Aggression Against Iran

    Congress Needs Another Doctor

    Ron Paul on H.R. 5767

Obama supports the war and the Patriot Act. He keeps voting for both. Ron Paul votes against both, and he still gets re-elected in a Texas district that is very Republican (70%+ last primary).

Most Democrats, including Obama, are complete sellouts and cowards.

You should join the Campaign for Liberty WW. Stay informed. Paul does a great job keeping people up to date, and there is a lot of talk in that community about organizing patriot markets, which could present business opportunities....

The Doctor is really working hard for liberty, and so are all the freedom-loving people. But what Dr. Paul needs is a good team. They need a new generation of leaders. I am sure this new Campaign for Liberty would become a hotspot for activism, just like the Mises Blog, the LewrockWell Blog and the NoLanChart Website... :) :D

Did you hear that... Privacy of the Internet... Reducing Regulation... Individual Liberty... :) Awesome... I love his ideas...

I have a question on this... Why does Dr. Ron Paul assume that people are capable of taking correct, rational decisions or moral decisions? If people were really so smart, then Ron Paul would have become the President of USA.

Because Dr. Paul believes in AJ Nock's notion of the "remnant". That it is impossible to reach everyone, so you reach that smaller group, "the remnant", with your message, and they will be the leaders when the time is right.

That's why he's said in so many post-Feb 5th speeches, he had no idea the remnant was so big. That while he got 1.2 million votes, there were probably 3 or 4 million more votes out there, and that is much more than he thought possible.

It was never about RP being President. He's not a man in politics because he craves power or is arrogant enough to think he can make the world better if he was in charge. That is the opposite of the libertarian idea that we all make the world better naturally when we are free and we respect each other's natural rights.
