If that is what they truly admired about RP, I believe they would see it. I suspect it's his weak national security (if any) policy that attracts many of them. Though I have a hard time understanding how those that supposedly love America would not want to protect their country from threats. It's sort of a catch 22, or cognitive dissonance issue.
That's point I keep making. Support for RP has nothing to do with small government, states rights and federalism. It's a naive concept of foreign policy. If you took that away; they'd never support RP on his domestic agenda. They do not even agree with it. I've shown it many times here.
Must be his trutheriness then. I remember a few months ago, after alex jones started pimping RP out, some of the regular AJ fans started trying to pretend it wasn't his 9/11ish and NAU conspiracies that had suddenly made them interested in a republican candidate.
Whenever GTech is out of his depth he will always find some half-assed blog link to post LMAO. If that is not enough then he even resorts to quoting his own DP posts! RMFAO!!!
Thanks, but we have a unique opportunity to refute not only false information and criticism, but to enlighten anyone who reads this thread on who Paul is, what he stands for, and how he could benefit this nation as our next President. The greatest challenge of Paul's candidacy will be getting the message out to enough people. His low showing in the polls relative to the more popular (albeit morally bankrupt) candidates is a result of less exposure to his message and in no way invalidates the quality of his policies. I'm not an evangelist, and I won't waste a ton of time arguing with folks whose last line of defense is calling names (troofer) or bringing up Alex Jones, but at the same time, they keep handing me a soapbox to share the message. And I will. Ron Paul. 2008.
What are you talking about? He has stated that the state of our forces is in shambles because we are spread so thin. Where we should be concentrating our protection efforts is on OUR borders - not the borders between other countries, like syria and lebanon... Who gives a fok about them? Not me.
I agree. People just need to hear his message. I tell people daily to learn about this guy and what he has to say, I have yet to come across someone who is not inspired by this candidate after hearing his message. When I say "inspired" I mean "inspired". People that were unsure of their vote in the next election but took the time to educate themselves on this guy are now sure on who they want to see as our next president and beyond that they are willing to take action and spread the message. We can take the last two straw polls as examples. The turnout was low for both but were overwhelming landslides in favor of Ron Paul. People that get this mans message are willing to get off their couch and do something. None of the other candidates have that going for them. Some will argue that it was just a bunch of people from meetup.com that voted. I think they are shooting themselves in the foot with that argument. If the supporters of Ron Paul are willing to actually do something and the so called "supporters" of the other candidates are not, that should tell the story right there. Mainstream media will make comments like Ron Paul supporters are manipulating online poles. The fact is we are manipulating them by voting on them. If other candidates actually inspired people then they would have people willing to take time out of their day to support them, even if it is something as simple as voting on an online poll. There are a few people on this forum who are openly against Ron Paul. That is fine with me, the more they speak against this man the more it will encourage people to find out who he is. We just need people to hear the message, that is the goal. Ron Paul's message will take care of the rest. When I first heard about him, I thought "a Republican from Texas"? ...that is the last thing we need." I had a great deal of skepticism when I learned about him. Now, a month and a half later I am a registered Republican so I can vote for him in the primaries. http://www.ronpaul2008.com
That method. Earmarks. Ron Paul. The last hope. The best hope. For humanity. Save the Republic. Take the Red Pill. Ron Paul.
This post raises an important question.... Is comedy really humor when you are the only one laughing?
It also raises another question. If Paul has an inferior stance on a policy, who is the candidate with a better grasp of, or policy on the issue? It is unlikely that the detractors here in DP P&R are willing to show who they support and defend them with the veracity that Paul's supporters do. And that is why Paul has an excellent chance to be the next President. Because one honest man in a circle of liars stands head and shoulders above them all.
Nope. Good defensive maneuver though, in trying to play it off as a victim role to avoid answering the question. Once again, are you doing that as part of your work counseling Veterans?
Paul has many inferior stances and most of his positions seem to be election day rhetoric. Not necessarily like other candidates either. His foreign policy is weak. That's probably what draws some of his non "alex jones" supporters. I must say though, I'm thrilled that so many are joining the Republican party. When RP loses the nomination, they'll have no choice but to vote Republican. That kind of gives me a chuckle. Other candidates can stand on their own. They don't need a lot of defending. If RP were not so out of whack with reality, he wouldn't need constant defending either. Something to think about.
Who in particular do you think has a better foreign policy? Republican, Democrat or Independent. I'd still like to know who you are candidate is, since you are so active in attacking mine. Do you have enough conviction to share that with us?
