For those of you who haven't really investigated what Ron Paul is all about, Glenn Beck is giving him a full hour starting in less than 20 minutes on CNN.
You got a link I can watch it in the UK mate, I have this link but not sure if it's the right one. http://www.channelsurfing.net/watch-cnn.html
AGS - Looks like that link is streaming CNN proper, not CNN Headline News. No worries though, I'm sure video of the show will be posted on the net either on Glenn Beck's CNN page or Youtube soon. It was a decent show. Some of the subject matter was a bit off the wall (focusing too much on conspiracy theorists and tin foil hat supporters), but he did give Ron Paul time to discuss the campaign issues. Overall, I think the video of Ron Paul on the Candidates@Google offers a better understanding of the man and his campaign.
Excellent interview. Ron Paul was visibly disgusted to hear what 9/11 truthers believe, and he went on to explain the only further investigation into 9/11 he would seek would be to search for ineptness and idiocy in government that lead to 9/11, never to try and blame the government for manufacturing the event. I think this interview was extremely fair, presented a new side of Paul to the nation, and hopefully the damned truthers will find someone else to leech upon, because Paul made it clear that the truth movement sounds absolutely ridiculous to him.
Thanks for the heads-up buddy! It was Becks job to concentrate on the conspiracy theorists and tin foil hat supporters angle because that is Becks job but it is great to see that an utter neocon supporting scumbag like Beck had the guy on at all. I'll be looking out for the interview soon, hoping it is up a bit later on tonight.
I'm happy that Dr. Paul put the 9/11 trutherism to rest, just as I am happy that he put the white supremacists to rest in the PBS NOW interview.
http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=ScaningTheWaves&p=r Top couple videos are parts of the Beck interview. There ya go AGS.
I think you are going to be quite surprised by the interview then. I have never seen Glenn Beck before tonight and don't know anything about him, but this was not the impression I took away after watching the show with Ron Paul.
That show kind of made me think. Just shows that you can't go around labeling, judging, or hating groups of people, because everyone is an individual trying to find their own identity, and I don't think any of us are 100% settled on everything we stand for.
You just can't put everything on G Beck. He's an extremist who has a hard time to be partial. He's obviously and blindly for a Bush kicking everywhere for whatever the reason. If Beck was a politic, he'll nuke the middle east and hang all legal or illegal immigrants in the US, no question ask. I guess alcohol has damaged his ability to think fairly... I didn't watch the debate, but I'm sure it was amazing to see 2 persons literally opposed on every single politic subject... While Paul has the education to put himself to the level of his opponent, I doubt Beck is capable to do that, due to his ego...
Watch the interview.. At one point Glenn said that if he weren't a man, he'd french kiss Ron because of his views on the IRS and taxes. It was embarrassing to watch.
It was funny watching Ron's face as he tried to understand what Beck was saying. Dr. Paul doesn't watch a lot of TV. The man reads a lot, and writes just as much.
Beck is a complete neocon supporting tool just like Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh to name but a few, I'm utterly astonished he had Paul on the show. Anyway, off to watch it on the YouTube. Laters guys!
I thought it was a pretty good interview. I don't like Beck but he's not nearly as bad as O'Reilly, Hannity, or Limbaugh in my view - He at least lets his interviewees respond. O'Reilly just shouts down his interviewees. For anyone who missed it: The whole interview is here.
