Too often we give foreign aid and intervene on behalf of governments that are despised. Then, we become despised. Too often we have supported those who turn on us, like the Kosovars who aid Islamic terrorists, or the Afghan jihadists themselves, and their friend Osama bin Laden. We armed and trained them, and now we’re paying the price.

We armed and nominally trained the Afghan jihadis, who just wanted the Soviets out. The Afghans won because of the Stinger, and the Soviets had to pull out. That was a good thing.

As of yet, the foreign fighters haven't used a Stinger against any of our civilian aircraft. Good thing. I hope that they are not able to get their hands on one.

So much going on, I haven't had time to report it.

Vern McKinley is one of two Ron Paul Republicans running in Virginia for Congress (the other being Amit Singh). Vern is a veteran policy writer and endorsed by Ron Paul. One of his campaign staff is a former Congressional aide of Ron Paul's. We're putting together a "May Day (May 1)" Money Bomb for Vern. I'll post more as I know more.

All over the place, Paulites are meeting increased resistance and shenanigans from local GOP groups. Paul's people are card carrying Republicans, armed with superior convention strategy and knowledge of Robert's Rule of Order, but the GOP is engaging in dirty tricks to keep the Ron Paul influence out of the party.

Who would have figured that a Goldwater/Reagan type Republican would be the enemy of a GOP that endorses a Rockefeller Republican like McCain.

Ron Paul's "The Revolution, A Manifesto" is rolling out and there are a couple good videos promoting a book bomb.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBI91BzI05c

The first one is my favorite. The second one has a lot of quotes from the book. Needless to say, Ron Paul doesn't pull many punches. Comes out April 30th.

This is an EXCELLENT radio interview. The host sounds so bummed out at the end, that Ron Paul didn't get a deeper run.

Good one for Ron Paul on the last part - hopefully that will make some people think. (the rest was mostly fine, but rambling, so ya it is on record, but most probably ignored his words - like I did - fast forwarded parts)

Why is Ron Paul supporting Chinese imperialism in Tibet?

This reminds me of a quote from Elie Wiesel, who said "There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest."

Because he's following the Will.Spencer principle.

You can't have it both ways Will.Spencer. Not if you claim consistency in your beliefs.

Freedom is not a special interest group.

Paul voted for a measure Concerning the Government of Romania’s ban on intercountry adoptions and the welfare of orphaned or abandoned children in Romania.

But he won't vote to support freedom for the people of Tibet.

Of course, he also voted to condemn terror attacks in Egypt, but he voted to support terror attacks in Israel.

So he supports nationalism over freedom when it's Chinese nationalism, but he's not worried at all about interfering with the internal politics of Romania.

And he's fine with terrorists murdering Jews, but not with terrorists murdering Egyptians.

The doddering old fool seems to have lost his consistency.

Will, if you email his congressional office, they will explain the rationale behind these votes, I can only guess at the particular angle he has taken.
This Ad Hominem at the end undermines your position.

EDIT::: ROTFLMAO. You've been reading Allah Pundit again. Bro, you're way too smart to be getting your information from MM's Hot Air. That place is the neoconservative DailyKOS. The breeding ground for tomorrow's Sean Hannity's and Bill O'Reilly's.

    I judge only the facts.

I'm not a "true believer", I don't believe anything just because some holy man or geriatric lunatic says it.

Then avoid Hot Air and the racist neocon, Allah Pundit and email Paul's congressional office. They will be able to explain the rationale behind the vote.

    Ron Paul - Rockstar!

    Excerpt
    ---

This one is near and dear to my heart, as so many conservatives and libertarians have been brainwashed to believe that earmarks and pork spending are a major focus for reform, when in fact pork occurs when spending is unchecked and not allocated by the Congress through appropriations.

Simply put, earmarks are a conservative wild goose chase, to take the focus off of taxes, departmental waste, and theft, instead focusing on a small portion of the budget and how House members allocate that.

    Recently came upon this
    http://digg.com/elections/

Ron paul leads by a landslide, followed by obama who's a bit behind.
Ron paul seems to be "da bomb" on the internet, but doesn't seem to have similar success offline. I wonder why ?

Very little media coverage offline. I think there is this tool called Nexis, or something like that they use to measure media mentions, and CNN did a thing months ago, Paul was buried behind guys like Giuliani, Thompson etc.

I really don't think that Ron Paul could possibly elected without equal and unbiased coverage, which is impossible because the media is owned by a small group of corporations.

If you ask people, do you want to end the war, most would say yes.

If you ask people if they want lower taxes, and reduced government spending, they would say yes.

And ironically, we will have two candidates who promise to deliver neither.
