Reagan's ambitions for world freedom were limited by issues of pragmatic politics. America was still reeling from LBJ's failure in Vietnam. Reagan took every measure he could in support of global freedom -- just like George W. Bush. George W. Bush is the most Reagan-like Republican we've ever had in the Presidency. He is much more like Ronald Reagan than he is like his own father. If Ronald Reagan had the military that George W. Bush has -- and was presented with the foreign policy issues that George W. Bush is -- he would be taking almost exactly the same actions. Of course, Ron would be explaining it better. Same actions; different words. Paul, on the other hand, wants to build a fence and pretend that it will stop a nuclear attack.
wow will, wow. george bush = ronald reagan? i mean even when i was neocon to the max i knew statements like that were just uncalled for.
Even if those numbers were 100% solid, factored in unlikely voters, first timers, etc I'll still pick the candidate who I feel is best for the job. Until more and more do it we will be left with more of the same. It may not happen this election cycle, it may take decades, hopefully some day however it will no longer be more of the same and the lesser of the 2 evils..
Are you willing to debate me in a thread, just you and I? You pick a candidate and we'll have this out. If you have the stomach for it. Because frankly I'm tired of you shitting on the Update thread with your sidebars and straw man arguments. Got courage?
Let's take this outside! Don't be any more of a fascist idiot than you already have been. You're not worth the trouble. If your posts were of a higher quality, I might be able to take you seriously. Keep working at it and maybe in twenty or thirty years you'll be worth talking to.
anyone who doesn't understand what ron paul is trying to do are the same idiots who voted for george bush twice. You already owe the world a huge favor by doing that, so just do something smart and vote for ron paul please, thats the only way to save yourselves.
aw poor will, won't take up guerilla on his offer so he finds a clever way to dismiss it. too bad a mere grunt like me previously beat you in a argument of technicality, something i'm not even good at, but apparently better than you. but before you go neg me again consider the fact that i respect your opposing viewpoint. we could really make alot more progress if we used rationality don't ya think? ok, let's see what the neg comment is this time
C'mon Chicken. Will! What have you got to lose? Pick a candidate and debate me! Do it for all of the other chickens out there. Don't be scared!
Sorry I haven't been keeping up with the Updates. Here is the best one from the day, a great story about the Iowa campaign, and the youth supporters. Young and in Love http://www.tnr.com/politics/story.html?id=4a9629c8-4063-4aa6-b5a7-de49cfb49e48 Really good article.
Teaching a pig to ballet dance would be easier than teaching political science to you. That doesn't mean that anyone is afraid of pigs or ballet, it means that the pig is unsuitable for the task at hand. I have better things to do than to waste time taking you seriously. Get back to your cut and paste existence. <Control-C> and <Control-V> appear to be the limits of your intellectual capacity.
Hmmm... I have analysed the above cryptic text, and finally, my SuperAMD PC has broken the code... In simple words, Will says he has no candidate that can stand in front of Ron Paul. There is no comparison. He knows he won't be able to defend his candidate, so why try?
