Jackuul, this isnt surprising. Why would they want the american peoples opinions on live television for the rest of america to see and hear. Ron Paul is starting to become a serious threat to the status quo, and they are starting to sweat a little. tuesday i will be registered as a republican. Bring back the consitution people, let our voices be heard. Bring back freedom and democracy as our founding fathers wanted us to have it!!!

Yet here they are, recent rural additions to Paul's big tent of fresh-faced libertarians, Internet idolaters and dispirited small-government Republicans. It's a group that has rallied behind the Texas congressman for months, raising record sums and inventing new campaign methods.

The Bockenstedts agree. More people just have to hear Ron Paul, they said, and anything can happen. It worked with them -- and they're not wide-eyed college activists, but middle-of-the-road Republicans who voted twice for President Bush.

"Here we are, a model family in Iowa, and the people who are supposed to work for us don't," said Carl Bockenstedt, a veterinarian. "I think if more people know about Ron Paul, they'll see he's going to change that."

For the next seven days, Bockenstedt will hand out campaign literature at area farms when he does his rounds around Dyersville, a small town best-known as the location for the movie "Field of Dreams."

Ron Paul said the decision to exclude him from a debate on Fox News Sunday the weekend before the New Hampshire Primary is proof that the network "is scared" of him.

"They are scared of me and don't want my message to get out, but it will," Paul said in an interview at a diner here. "They are propagandists for this war and I challenge them on the notion that they are conservative."

Paul's staff said they are beginning to plan a rally that will take place at the same time the 90-minute debate will air on television. It will be taped at Saint Anselm College in Goffstown.

"They will not win this skirmish," he promised.

The Fox debate occurs less than 24 hours after two back to back Republican and Democratic debates on the same campus sponsored by ABC News, WMUR-TV and the social networking website Facebook.

Republican presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul's campaign drew over 150 individuals to its Detroit office grand opening on Saturday. The office, at 18981 Telegraph Road, was open from 11am to 7pm, and drew a mixture of area volunteers participating in a "Ron Paul Holiday Walk-Off," or canvassing effort, supporters throughout Wayne County, and local undecided voters.

At 5pm, approximately 50 supporters lined the intersection of Seven Mile and Telegraph Roads for a rally and sign-waving.

"We are very encouraged by today's turnout," said Paul state coordinator Leslie Roszman. "Supporters dropped by to pick up hundreds of signs and thousands of flyers, and they are taking to the streets of Detroit, spreading Dr. Paul's message of freedom, peace, and prosperity. No other campaign is this active in Detroit, and we hope to turn that support into votes on January 15."

The Detroit office is the second Ron Paul 2008 campaign office to open in Michigan. On Thursday, the Flint office opening at G-3068 Miller Road drew over 50 supporters from 4-7pm.

The Ron Paul 2008 Michigan campaign has over 10,000 volunteers statewide.

Michigan's 2008 presidential primary will be held on January 15.

Patrick Kocher of Gordonville, organizer of the Lancaster Meetup, is from a politically active family in Delaware County. He's no campaign newbie.

"The guy's got integrity," Kocher said. "I re-registered Republican from the Constitution Party for this."

Brenneman met Paul, a Pittsburgh native, when he spoke to the Constitution Party in Lancaster three days before 9/11 in 2001. "He not only says what's on his mind," Brenneman said, "but he actually follows through."

"By watching the debates, I saw how very good he was on foreign policy," said Matt Boyer, a Democrat, "which I think is one of the major issues today."

The district sales manager for Lancaster Newspapers' circulation department started researching Paul's positions and liked what he learned.

"I certainly don't agree with everything he says," Boyer added, "but he's on the right track. He's genuine and consistent."
