Well, Huckabee just squeaked in to get on the ballot for Illinois. But his campaign is badly underfunded, and McCain for all intents and purposes is done like dinner. Tancredo and Hunter are nearly done, although Tom has a chance to make some noise in Iowa. But both guys aren't appearing on every ballot, so again, their campaigns are kinda dead in the water. Romney could make or break his campaign when he gives his speech (today?) on being Mormon. If he loses what's left of his portion of the Christian right, then he's done. Thompson is strong in the late primary states, as is Giuliani. Those two guys will be duking it out on Super Tuesday (Feb 5). Huckabee is a wild card. If he wins Iowa or finishes second, he's in the race as a front runner, if he finishes 3rd or worse, he's in rough shape. Iowa right now is everything to Huckabee, so much so that he's barely campaigning in the other early primary states. And Paul is the spoiler, with the potential to upset the early primaries. Iowa is an open caucus, and NH is an open primary. Paul draws more than 50% of his support outside the polled "likely Republican voters" demographic. A lot of pundits acknowledge, it's not if he has support, it's whether that support will show up to vote in the primaries. McCain is likely done, unless somehow he miraculously wins NH. His Iowa campaign is atrocious.
I'm really excited about the open primaries. I think there's a chance that Paul will absolutely shock the establishment by the amount of independent/democrat support he gets. I know if New York was open I'd vote in the Republican primary and I've never voted for a Republican in my life.

Good stuff. I think you can always hear the honesty and sincerity in his voice, even in text. Thanks.
Wow, between WV, the blimp, the Tea Party, the academic endorsements, and rising poll numbers, I think it really could be happening. This is incredibly exciting, you just made my day.
Hey , as long as he runs this country right and honors our constitution by making this country a country for the american people, i wouldnt care if he was mormon or not, but sorry, im voting only for Ron Paul and i got many friends convinced to vote for him next year. Looks like Ron Paul not only has the vote of the common man but the vote of the intellectual moderates as well.
Pingpong, get them registered Republican and at the primaries for their particular state for next year. Primaries first, so he can destroy the Democrats in the general election.

Very cool! I have still been seeing more and more RP signs going up, nothing from anyone else as of yet. A big one went up just recently near me. Taking a trip this weekend, looking forward to see if I see any signs, if so, for who..
Rambling... Understand the Ron Paul Revolution is not just about a single candidate. And it's not just about a single election. It's about Democrats and Libertarians voting Republican. It's about online fundraising in the millions done for zero campaign cost. It's about TWO 3rd parties that are waiting to see how the GOP nomination turns out, before they offer to sponsor the Revolution in 50 states under their party banners. It's about about a fringe "message" candidate going from obscurity to prominence in 2 months. It's about bringing people back into the electoral process. And it's about changing campaign finance, in a profound way. All manifested in a symbol. A blimp. Ron Paul blimp charts unprecedented course Oh the irony of trying to beat the unConstitutional McCain-Feingold campaign regulations with a blimp last leased to the Navy.
you're the man guerilla. do you know if people are working as hard in other states to become delegates as they did in WV? as far as i know we have little support in WV compared to other states but we made #1 in WV delegates.. if we keep that up we will win.
I think we ended up short a couple female delegates in Illinois, and IIRC, we have a near full delegate slate in Maryland. Can't speak for the rest but at RPF, at the bottom of the board are the state forums, you can check those out to see how we are making out in PA.
