In the end you need the American Military to protect American Trade which is what Bret Stephens was talking about which counters Ron Paul's argument that Trade and Talk will solve all the worlds problems.

 

If you put as much effort into keeping your Huck thread up-to-date as you do into trying to bash Ron Paul all the time you might find that you have a decent thread, like guerillas RP update thread is.

Stephens is talking about Mercantilism. Paul is talking about defense.

There is a big difference between protecting your trade ships, citizens and route, and invading a country to seize their natural resources, or occupying other countries to control trade routes.

It doesn't matter pal. In 10 years, we won't be able to afford anything except basic social services.

The empire is coming to an end whether Paul gets elected or not. We're broke. With Paul, we might just have a chance to end it softly and gracefully without being pariahs in the international community.

 

The NAACP did not endorse Ron Paul. Not only has this been proven, but to suggest otherwise in the presence of that knowledge reinforces that you are in no position to assert that I have lost credibility. I do not seek your approval and having it would be detrimental to my position.

1. Ron Paul did not author the comments in question.
2. Ron Paul took moral responsibility for the comments in question, because they were written by one of his campaign staffers.
3. The staffer was fired because of these writings.
4. A vast body of information exists on Ron Paul's true beliefs on the issue of race.
