ROMS are illegal?

    What kind of roms are you talking about? Like ... roms as in, videogame roms? If that's the case, then yeah ... I'm sure there are some sort of copyright violations in place.

    They are illegal if you don't own the original copy of the game. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong but I believe its only legal to have them on your computer if you own the game [physically].

    I've heard that too ... but I'm not sure if it's just a claim that people make to convince themselves it's okay ... it would be interesting to hear what a lawyer or someone to that nature has to say on the matter.
