Crazy police state stuff, where even the police are not on board, and so called "domestic terrorists" could just be losers coerced into doing stupid things by undercover agents, while smoking dope or other forms of entrapment http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/18137343/the_fear_factory Apparently civil liberties and the Constitution are too inconvenient to accommodate. Good article, give it a read. Related: Truth or Terrorism? The Real Story Behind Five Years of High Alerts http://www.rollingstone.com/politic...e_real_story_behind_five_years_of_high_alerts .
Hmmm. Not a single reply to what I think are two of the most important articles to come out in the last several weeks. Bummer.
I read that article yesterday pretty spot on. Watch the video I posted on the other thread. Here is the link again. http://www.stage6.com/user/SenorMiguel/video/1091632/Politics-of-Fear-Pt1---Baby-It's-Cold-Outside
The Dick Cheney "one percent solution" is the biggest load of crap... in awhile. I'd say there's a 1% chance that any particular person is a dangerous criminal. So then I guess we have to treat everyone like a dangerous criminal. That's about how that "logic" looks to me. This sort of crap has to be stopped. I'm not afraid of terrorists, I'm afraid of the police state. I know which one is more likely to cause me problems. I know which one has caused more problems for friends and family.
Agreed. Dick Cheney and the neocons want everyone to be scared, because it allows them to fight meaningless wars and make billions of dollars through companies like Halliburton and Blackwater. Question: What percentage of Americans were killed in the 9/11 attacks? Answer: about .001% That's about 1 out of every 100,000 people. We are disregarding the Constitution because 1 out of every 100,000 Americans was killed in one terrorist attack. Apparently the price we are willing to pay for freedom has been deeply discounted.
