If we create a subdomain for a website (like www.blog. example. com), will it help SEO in any kind? Is it like creating a new website? If so, do we need to do SEO for both the domain separately? Does Search engine consider this as different website? SEOs, please share the views on this.

In the olden days, google considered a subdomain a different website than the primary domain.

This has now changed and google views them the same. I still like to host my primary blogs as a subdirectory to insure inbound links boost my primary domain, but that too is changing.

You can use folder option instead of subdomain .

My understanding is the subdomains don't help as much as they may have used to for SEO purposes.
