We have a Robots section in DP but I felt to put this thread here as it may find better takers. Since many noobs are still confused about how to use robots meta tags, I just wrote a Post on it which should clear the air and help people to use robots meta tags in a better way. As far as SEO is concerned, IMO, using proper meta tags can help preserving the quality of the site. As an example, I have taken Squidoo and how they are using noindex robots tag to prevent useless pages getting associated with the site. I hope it helps few. Comments are invited...
