Robots.txt creation help!

    Hi,

    I'm looking to exclude some pages of my website from Google indexing...

    I have a real estate listings website and I don't want the individual listings to be indexed (ie. /viewlisting.php?id=1)

    How what is the exact language to use in the file?

    Code (markup):
    This will prevent indexing of that page regardless of the "id".

    and then just save the file on the root of your site so SEs can easily recognize it..

    Yes it disallowed all the pages strating from viewlisting.php
