Is there a way to tell robots to do not analyze some part of one page content ? For example i have a header on the top right of my website telling where the visitor is on my site, it looks like that Home > Keywords > optimization. I

s there a way to tell spiders " Do not take that text is consideration " ?

I saw msn indexed my web page, and it included that header in the description of my site... Not cool huh

    Thanks for any comment
    Cheers

Well I guess you'll have to edit your robots.txt the "disallow" there.

The text is inside my web pages, it is a header on the top right within <div></div> is there a special tag which stop robots for analyzing some part of your text inside web pages ?

Yes it's true, MSN loves to display my breadcrumbs and other navigation links in my snippets too - it's not necessarily a reflection on your site!

The answer isn't to ban the SE's from reading them, that would be bad for your rankings. I tried tweaking the text on the page and making better titles, descriptions and headings, but still haven't had much luck with MSN.

It was worth the effort though, because my snippets descriptions look much better in Google and Yahoo now!

    Cheers,
    Paz.
