Yes, that makes sense. If they don't know where the results originate, then it would fit with their response. Still, Innocent before proven competitive and all that.
I did a familiar search on "Pure Search" www. purese.com. Somehow, the results from purese looked familiar. I tried an old bookmark called "Pure Search" - http://search.positiontech.com/InktomiSearch/PositionTechSearch.jsp The SERPS were IDENTICAL! Except for a phony #1 result at the #1 position at Purese, these are inktomi results.
If you are trying to say our results are inktomi, they are not. Doing a search for "Games" will show this, the first 5 are the same but the rest are not. I can promise you the results are not from inktomi
SoapBath, the results have to come from some place as you said that you did not spider yourself. Are you producing a META engine, please tell us the truth as you have built up some good will here and we do not want you to hurt yourself now
A Search for Silly on Pure Search: http://www.silly-beer.com http://www.chm.bris.ac.uk/sillymolecules/sillymols http://www.silly.nl/ http://www.silly.be A search for silly on Pure SE http://www.steveconley.com/superputty.htm http://guardian.curtin.edu.au/cga/art/tv.html http://www.harbourtownrecords.com/silly_wizard.htm http://www.sillyputty.com/
As I said. IDENTICAL. Search for surf shop on both. Results 6-10 are IDENTICAL, as well. Statistically, this ain't gonna happen, coincidence-wise.
Yes.. im not saying the results are not parsed, its just they are not parsed from one place , in fact many places: Yahoo Dmoz AllTheWeb AskJeeves About Looksmart And many more. Now im not gonna bother fighting my case, if that site uses alot of the same engines, it would happen. I know what it does. http://search.positiontech.com/Yahoo/PositionTechSearch.jsp I have never heard of that before, and I might be changing my name so people don't get the 2 engines confused.
No, they are identical. UP TO SERP #25. I have the screen shots. I tried to post them, but the filesizes were too large. If you insist, I will shrink them and put them up, but frankly, I've wasted too much time here already. Pure search refers to "Pure inktomi". As is shown at the bottom. Are you suggesting that 2 separate entities, could conceivably scrape IDENTICAL results from multiple sources? How much is that stuff you are smoking?
