So a customer decided to file against me on Ripoff Report saying I did not respond when it was because she had the spam filter on. We have resolved the issue, and Ripoff Report appears to have a policy of keeping EVERYTHING. My name is on there and obviously this would be defamation. What should I do? Anyone have experience with handling this site? Does the owner respond to his emails? If so, how long? According to Wikipedia, I would have to pay huge sums to the owner to get my name taken down (talk about corruption). I contacted the buyer and she said she would update the report. Do the reports include past writings? Is it possible for the buyer to completely remove everything by updating the report? This is just incredibly stupid and I'm looking for the cheapest route to get this resolved. I have a relatively large budget, but I don't want to waste a dollar for this corrupt guy. This just makes me hate the Google monopoly more as this site would have no power if it didn't come up in the Google search results. I have already reported the page with Google's removal tool, but I can't manually remove it from EVERY search engine.
Hmm, it looks like you're pretty much screwed. Just let the buyer update the page. I think that's pretty much all you can do right now considering you don't want to spend.
