Ok... I have finally launched it.. well its not totally how I want it yet, but Im pretty happy.

    MyAcneBlog.com

Here are my thoughts before you all jump in:

    Domain:
I think it is easily remembered, and says exactly what it is.

Design: Can't say it is fantastic, but it is unique, and only cost me $40 to get designed and coded, so I can't complain.

I like the layout, especially how I can put a row of advertising in the middle.

    My Plan For The blog

What I have found with most blogs and websites about acne, is that they are very scientific and impersonal, I know there is a market for that, but the idea I had for my blog was to make it:

    1. Interactive (I will be asking questions of my visitors - when I build the traffic)

    2. Personal - This will not just be a blog full of articles, it will be my trials and errors, thoughts and feelings. And be written in a very personal way.

    3. Real Product Testing - I will one product at a time test both popular products and natural remedies, giving a detailed day by day break down of my thoughts on how it is working for me.

I don't have plans to monetise it much in the near future, I am looking to build a good readerbase, and will be aiming to add a website to the blog in the near future which will include the articles, and product reviews on it.

Ok now here is your chance, please give me your honest opinion on the blog and the idea.

    Just a few rules:

    1. Keep it constructive (no "design suck" or "bad idea" comments, unless you are willing to back it up with suggestions on how to improve.

    2. I have the right to accept of reject your opinion
, it makes neither of us right or wrong, but lets not argue )

    Let the games begin...:D

Yea I will personally be testing different products, and giving honest reviews on whether it works and the changes it made.

I am having trouble adding it to my technorati account though.

    Richkid,

I like the site, colors, graphics and layout. I think the domain name is good also. I only have one bit of advise, the test around the images is right up against the images. There is no spacing between the images and test. You can change this in the image attributes. Hope this helps.

You have a nice blog. Here are my recommendations for improvement:

    1) Don't use such a huge RSS image. Try one sized 125X125 or so.

    2) Instead of listing pages in the sidebar, have a line of pages links at the top (see my blog for example, link in signature).

Overall I don't see much wrong with it. I like the concept and the design is nice. Keep up the good work. :)
