Reading this thread really made me angry.

int_josh, do your work and ask. You seem to be really lazy and want a step by step guide to make money. That isn't gonna happen.

Hey, at least you're putting in the blood and sweat to learn the biz. Most people wash out early, so you're probably going to make it. Don't give up and don't be bitter. Angst is counter-productive.

Driving up bids? Please, there's plenty of room for 10x the people. I'm rooting for you.

Dude, learning by doing always is the best alternative.

Calling ppl a bunch of pricks, only because they dont write you an manual, only show that you doesnt have the cochones for this job.

So i think you will stay with noudlesoup 3x a day, or you'll maybe grow up some day and see how many good tips you've got here and throw you ebooks in the trash.

Most people will help you around here if you ask specific questions (i.e. How does a certian offer perform, What's the best source for leads for a certain offer, How do I increase my ecpc on a certain offer)

But if you ask everyone, "Give me your blueprint for success", you'll get the responses you've been getting. So they're really not haters, it's kind of the way you're asking the question.

Also, there is no simple answer. There are thousands of factors/combinations that make an affiliate offer profitable. If you test and experiment you will discover the right combinations and then you can refine the winners into mega winners.

Another point, treat Super Affiliates like shoemoney with respect. If you listen to his podcasts and read his forum, you can pick up tons of information that will help you. He's all about helping others, but he won't lay a golden egg in your lap. :)

    Dealsite is being polite.

Can't say I am really worried about you driving up my bids. You won't find my bids in any e-book.

As for what Dealsite just said, take it to heart, it is ALL about your approach. Your questions are extremely lazy and show no knowledge, initiative or thought. If you have a specific question, people will likely be more than willing to help you. Asking generically how you do it is an indicator that you are not that serious.

Yeah man I understand. Of course no one's gonna give me step-by-step strategy (unless you pay them).

My question was how to boost on-page conversions for ringtone offer (meaning should I pre-sell the ringtones, have "choose carrier" page or leave the iframe untouched).

Also I've been having difficulty with coming up with large list keywords, since I'm rather new to this game. I've been hearing numbers like 40k... the only way I can think of to come up with 40k RELEVANT keywords is to add words on the end and beginning of main devided keyword set (which right now is at about 10k). However, those highly modified long-tail keywords get 0 traffic, since they are never searched for.

Even if you could buy a step-by-step strategy or handbook it would be obsolete in no time since the landscape changes so quickly with offers, bids, fads, etc. What's hot today may not be tomorrow. I personally don't mess w/ ringtones, seems over-saturated to me.

The skills of this game are gained through experience: impeccible ad writing, mastering adwords or other ppc, creative keyword selection, doing the math/analysis on your offers, and the persistence to move on after many failed tests.

As for keywords, I use overture bidtool and keyword selector and the tool here at DP: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/?keywords=affiliate&country=us I just pick 5 - 10 keywords that i can compete in and that have decent traffic and then refine my list as the campaign runs. Throw off the losers that aren't converting. You are tracking your leads with sub id's right?

Yeah I use conversion tracking per-keyword and peel and stick the underperformers.

My main concern though is - how do people find 40k related, targeted keywords that get clicks and conversions. And can't you broad match for those variations already with 1 and 2 tier keyphrases?

Hey, I was hoping someone would jump in and answer your keyword question. I haven't been using 40,000 keyword lists, so maybe that's one secret I've been missing out on. I think I heard shoemoney say he keeps lists of his own that he's compiled through experience and testing.

Anyone out there using thousands of keywords from some service or software for each particular offer?

i take the search data from my ringtone sites and enter it automatically into the ppc engines via api.

    The lists snowball pretty big

broadmatch is automatic....no need to do anything other than enter keyword terms and price hit continue....broadmatch will bleed you out though..

Ohh and the find 40K keywords and bid on them is counter productive. Compartmentalize ad goups on those that drive a decent amount of taffic..you dont scrape for 1s ans 2s unless its high dollar profit at stake.

Traffic volumes the game as cheap as you can get it and as on target as it can be...

Hone your ads win position the write way... not by tossing money at it

    Hone landing pages...

ohh and in case someone hasnt said it several times

    ..........test test test

but I know I saw that somewhere

Man, that's why you're the king -- I never even thought of that. I've been using more of Sem-Advance's approach, but I can see where the big lists could help on certain offers. Thanks for sharing Shoe.
