this morning i received an email from adwords with the following: they dissaproved all my ads and the "Disapproval reason" is Mobile subscription services anyone happened this before or is something new? my campaign was online from more than half year and the ads are the regular ones with "latest ringtones...", "hot artists..." "...ringtones for your verizon cell". now i must put the price, billing interval... thanks
Yup, there are now special Google compliant landing pages which you will need to use. They come with an ugly TOS checkbox right in the middle of the page which clearly tells visitors they will be charged $x dollars per month...and they must agree to it before signing up.
probably true (I don't use Adwords to promote anyway) but it definitely wont HELP your conversions...
although yesterday i said all my ads were approved today again are disapproved, this time the "Disapproval reason(s)" are: "Copyright" and "Unacceptable content". From the email i received from adwords: so i can't advertise my ringtones site but others can?!?!? what do you think? can i change something to the landing page to be accepted? thanks
some sites will always be magically grandfathered in through G's rules. reasons may be $ related, some history related, some might just miss the QS check through a random anomaly. sucks, but all part of the game.
hi all: I was just about to made the similar post, and saw this. My ringtones campaign have a whopping 6% coversion with nice ROI, but now they are all gone. thanks to their replies like the following. Worse, i found many existing ads are violating the rules. I reported them anyway. how to go about this issue now? abandon Adwords for ringtone? **** Google AdWords permits the advertisement of mobile subscription services only when the site clearly displays price and subscription information. In order for your ad to be approved, please implement the following guidelines on your site. This information should be located in a prominent place on the page and should be easy to find, read, and understand. 1. Prominently display the following on the page where users first enter personal information (such as a name or phone number): - The identification of your service as a subscription - The price of the service - The billing interval (such as per week or once per month) 2. Users must indicate that they accept the price and subscription service via a checkbox or other opt-in method that does not require close examination. If the user does not opt in, he or she should not be able to proceed. This should be on the first page users enter personal information. 3. Clearly display cancellation information or a prominent link to this information on your landing page.
Look for this if you are using Azoogle "*Exclusive* DadaMobile - Premium Only -Google Compliant Now with Google compliant links!"
@cylai. on the generic landing pages "please chose your carrier" we don't request any personal info so only the point 3 apply to us - "3. Clearly display cancellation information or a prominent link to this information on your landing page." after my first disapproval i put the "cancellation instructions" on my landing page. now all my ads are dissaproved and the "Disapproval reason(s)" are: "Copyright" and "Unacceptable content". besides this almost all my keywords are also disapproved: artist names, songs... the only keywords active from what i see are "christian ringtones", "funny ringtones"... the generic ones but don't get any traffic because their ads are disapproved as BigPhil mentioned thumbplay and dada only yesterday added the adwords compliant pages so i can try to resubmit again my ads for approval
Ok some update from an asshole. So sometimes back I email Adwords team to address my concern, it took them few days to reply. Here's what they have got to say: " Thank you for your email. I understand you are concerned about ads running on Google that don't comply with our policies. Please note that in order to maintain fairness for our advertisers and consistency for our users, all Google AdWords ads must follow the advertising policies. Our AdWords Specialists review ads in our program. Due to the volume of ads we receive, some ads may run for a while on Google before they undergo the approval process. We assure you that we are working diligently to apply the same criteria to all of our ads. Thank you for informing us of your concern, and we appreciate your patience and understanding."
