Ringtone website. Copyright infringement ?

    Hy there!

    I wanna know if a ringtone website it's illegal ? The website will containt just ringtones that means just 30 secs audio sample from each song. Thx :rolleyes:

    Thx for your answers. But I wanna mention that the website will be something like zedge.. so there there will be just ringtones uploaded by the community (user generated content). I'm not trying to sell them :)

    It doesn't matter if you are asking for money or not, you still run the risk of a lawsuit if your users are uploading copyrighted content. YouTube has been sued for billions of dollars for this reason.

    It's worth hiring an attorney to craft your terms of service to protect you as much as possible.
