I don't want to be overly paranoid, but what if the decline in leads is a result of adware hijacking some of the older, more established ringtone offers. I was reading an article yesterday (http://affiliate-blogs.5staraffiliateprograms.com/category/parasites-adware-spyware/) that talked about Zango adware stealing leads. Probably way off, but thought I'd throw it out there.
hrmm for azoogle its not possible because its not cookie based (AFIAK) with cj cookie stuffing/stealing is easy
This is possible but if this was the case i would expect it to not even show the click in your stats.... as most people are still reporting clicks but drops in leads... Although my stats were normal for sunday untill afternoon.. I was doing fine but then like the next 400 clicks not a single lead
@shoe, sure it could be possible, but i dont think its why the conversions went down. You can script something that detects linkstructures and strip the affili id part off, inserting your own. But since azoogle 2.0 links are brandnew i dont think that this is the case. Its tracking issues OR this is now that the azoogle landingpages are oversaturated and every customer has seen these pages already enough. I always said to my am i want white label pages with just the TOS and carriers and numberfield and build my own design around that =) Would be the best and there would be many, many unique landings that doesnt get oversaturated. Since i know that azoogle is reading here: I am the first one that signes the "Give us white label pages with just an numberfield" petition! Everyone that wants them too, sign up ^^
Perhaps all the conversion differences are at the campaign level and not network wide? Haven't seen any kind of the drop on Mobile Sidewalk on MaxBounty, actually just the opposite. So perhaps it's just the one campaign you're advertising on the other network which is causing you problems?
but there are some offers that have only been out a week or two that have this result..... so i dont completely think that would completely remedy the situation... but with just the number i think would give us ability to make things more unique...
Typical pattern for me is - First half of day goes really strong, high convertions, 2nd half of the day, 5-6 hours go by and only 1-2 leads on 1000 clicks! It almost looks like someone is hitting the button to not credit additional leads, I hate to say it, but honestly I don't buy the fact that its the problem of ringtone market being saturated, something is definately not right. How can you have days where all of the sudden your convertions drop like that for the second 1/2 of the day? It just doesn't make any sense.
@JP Sauve I've tried 5 different offers for ringtones, at least 4-5 different landingpages and still no change. My ecpc was for months around .60-1.10, and now it's down to .10-.30 (and .30 is an great day) so i cant believe it's only an offer thingy. I dont know what it is, tracking issues? The fact that EVERYBODY uses the "5" different azoogle landingpages? I dont know, but it's not me alone as it seems that has these issues in 2.0 version... Currently i wait to get approved for the MB mobilesidewalk offer, if i see an increase like capitalistpig in leads again, theres definetely something wrong with azoogle, if not its something on my side. We will see. But the idea with the white label pages is still something that could give the ringtone market a new life again, since now every black sheep could write "free" above his landings, there would be nothing the networks have to fear. It would be just an blank page with all the TOS, the carriers and an numberfield, im sure thi could help the whole market. Think about it dear network owners.
Hi guys, The numbers do look off on Blinko over the last few days. We are currently investigating the situation. If it turns out that there is an error or a problem with the offer, our publishers will be credited accordingly (as always). Thanks for your patience and support. We should have an answer soon.
Thumbplay seems to be having similar problems as well as Blinko... I was at 6 cent ePC the other day.
Looks like offer 3011 (Blinko) did experience a problem that was unique to AzoogleAds 2.0. Our techs have found it and fixed it. We will be crediting ALL affected publishers for all leads lost from the 18th through yesterday (and today). Leads will be posted into subid BONUS. We will use your past conversion averages to calculate the distribution. I will report back once its been posted. Thanks again. RawkusP, I can't tell which report you are looking at in your post and what date range. Send me a PM with that info or just email alex at azoogleads.com and I'll take a look at it. That offer tracks differently though and we can't see anything wrong with it. Thanks.
The issues i see and my decreased leads are with thumbplay, i tried all suboffers of thumbplay AND dada incl. all suboffers of dada too. So its possible that blinko wasnt the only offer with tracking issues?
I saw the effect ( i am in 1.0 or legacy or whatever is no the 2.0 version) with the thmbplay/thumbplay variety of offers that it has decreased. .... the ONLY one that has seemed to hold steady is DADA.... to bad the payout is lower SO i will be interested to see if there are issues with thumbplay/thumbplay variety tracking also as i had about same traffic but 1/2 the converts.
Wow, I'm happy to see Azoogle has looked into this, solved the problem, and credited all the publishers. I just wish this was the case with the offers I'm promoting .
I guess until this gets fixed and all leads start getting counted imma have to pause my campaign, just cant afford to blow away my testing money right now if our leads are'nt getting counted for sure.
jeremy860: The problem has been fixed, we're just writing a script for the lead distribution now. Alex
Still sounds strange that you only refer to the Blink offer, but people - including myself - are reporting same problem patterns across the other offers, too. Christoph
